ERIN BARBER, LMHC
PRACTICE OWNER
I strongly believe that our unhealthy behaviors and habits are often a result of trying to get our needs met in the best way we know how. I aim to create a safe, judgement free space to explore these patterns while identifying healthier tools for coping with life. Since graduating from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts with a master’s degree in clinical psychology, I gained well-rounded clinical experience treating adults and adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues in in-patient, partial-hospitalization, and out-patient settings. With a desire to be more helpful to individuals, I opened my private practice in 2013 and since relocated to Brevard County, Florida. I offer individual counseling to adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief/loss, relationship issues, and life transitions. I use a psycho-dynamic approach to explore thoughts, feelings, and behavioral patterns while incorporating holistic tools, such as cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies, mindfulness meditation, and stress management.

In the face of hardships, our resilience is often tested. We ask ourselves: How can I get through this? How can I recover? Can things ever go back to normal? You don't have to figure it all out on your own. Whether your hardship includes substance abuse, depression, anxiety, or everyday life struggles, I can help guide you through getting things back on track.
I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help guide clients towards discovering their resilience. I have extensive experience working with substance abuse, psychoeducation, coping skills, and more. My services are available virtually only at this time. Please feel free to contact me for a free phone consultation to see if I'm the right fit for your personal journey.
